Organize your spices in alphabetical order. Whether your spice is on a Lazy Susan System or on the wall or a pull out spice rack. Think about B-G (lots of “B’s” to Garlic; L – T; not many U – Z). After you use them, return those spices to the proper position so you can find them again.
Organize flatware in a drawer close to the dishwasher for easy put away. Use a flatware organizer (Wood, plastic or metal) and use these kind of drawer organizers for measuring spoons and often used utensils. If some drawers don’t fit the organizer, consider purchasing drawer dividers to keep “like” utensils together (view online)
When your done cooking, clean all items and put away. Keep kitchen counters free and clear of clutter.
Date items put in the freezer. You can use labels or a sharpie on the packaging.
Clean out and clear out the refrigerator once a week. Save room in the refrigerator and don’t allow moldy food. Clean the shelves in the refrigerator as well.
Last, if cooking is not your thing…hire or marry someone who likes to cook. My sons love to cook and their wives like to clean up. Happy combination.
