PUT TOGETHER YOUR VITAL DOCUMENTS
So you and your family are prepared for a crisis or emergency
Tools needed:
- 3 ring binder
- 2 pocket folders
- Stapler
- External hard drive
- Small book for hard copy on passwords to accounts
3 hole punch
Type in a word doc your attorney, accountant, financial planner name, phone number, e-mail, and address. Plus your children’s names, phone, address and e-mails.
- Make copies and put in pocket folder, binder with tab dividers, and digital copy to be placed on the external hard drive or secure based cloud “Forever”.
- Legal: Wills, living will, health care proxy trusts, power of attorney medical and financial, burial instructions with cemetery, preference of retirement community , car title, deed to house, to get you started.
- Insurance: auto, home owners, life/term, health care, pet care, boat, liability second home, fine art, disability
- Other documents and location fire proof file cabinet, safe, safe deposit box (where is the key or combo?)- fine art, jewelry, gun license, marriage and birth certificate, military papers, social security card, copy of driver’s license and all credit cards front and back with passwords
- Financial: bank name, accounts, location, passwords, safe deposit box (location of key), all last 7 years of tax records (in a box or tub), mortgage, health savings acct.
- Medical: all doctors name, address, phone numbers- dentist, medication taking currently, preference of hospital
