Indianapolis Women Like Us Foundation Afternoon Tea & Speakers

Do you have teacups, saucers or teapots that you'd be willing to donate to a great cause? Perhaps those teacups belonged to your mom or grandmother and you'd like to pass them along to a new generation of women?
The Women Like Us Foundation of Indianapolis will hold our annual fundraiser, an afternoon tea and speaker meeting on October 18, 2012 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral Ballroom and could really use your donation of tea settings! Please contact me, Rita Woll, for information on a possible donation at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 317-514-9793.
Our 2012 campaign is focused on the fight against human trafficking and prostitution. As such, our speakers at the afternoon tea will include former Congresswoman Linda Smith discussing legislation activisim for saving our children, while the keynote speaker will be Somaly Mam, the founder of the Somaly Mam Foundation, an organization dedicated to producing a world where women and children are safe from slavery. Somaly was named one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People of 2009."
The Women Like Us Foundation achieves it's mission by providing personal skills and life skills mentoring for teen girls, raising funds in supporting women-led causes and offering cultural immersion global humanitarian trips.
The group is also well-known in Indianapolis for working one-on-one with local girls in life skills and in a mentoring capacity.
Sponsorships and tickets for the afternoon tea and speaker session are now available for purchase HERE.
